The Location

Malborough is dominated by All Saints Church, a landmark which can be seen for many miles around. (If anybody is lost and wants to get back to the Old Vicarage they only have to head for the church the house is adjacent!) The village is more tranquil than Salcombe and Kingsbridge, and has its own character with many thatched cottages and old houses. There is a post office, 2 public houses, the Lodge Hotel & Churchills Bistro and a garage petrol station with a small supermarket all of which are within a few hundred metres of the Old Vicarage.  Malborough is  1 hour drive west of Exeter and 25 minutes from the A38. There are main line stations at Totnes or Plymouth and airports at Exeter and Bristol.
