We are excited to offer our guests this detached Grade 1 listed period property with breathtaking views and eccentric furnishings. The interior style combines lavish Regency with quirky artefacts and pop memorabilia, designed to capture the imaginations of those guests seeking a really different experience from a traditional country house. This is a fun house for children, both young and grown up.

The Location

The Hall is set in a secluded valley 3 miles from the popular tourist destination of Llangollen in mid Wales. It lies well away from busy roads at the end of a shared drive through woods.
The property is ideally suited for guests travelling from the Midlands or North West England. The drive time from Manchester and Birmingham is 1 hour, Liverpool is 45 minutes and London is 3.5 hours. The nearest main-line rail station is Ruabon to which train journeys from London via Crewe or Birmingham New Street take 3.5 hours. 

The Accommodation

Ground Floor:
  1. Medieval dining hall, incorporating the main staircase, stone fireplace and access to drawing and smoking rooms.
  2. Regency drawing room with marble fireplace also serves as a cinema room with a 6 x 5 ft screen for DVD and video with surround sound system.
  3. Smoking/library room (whilst the Hall is designated as no smoking, it is permitted in the smoking/library room only)
  4. Snug

A Large kitchen with breakfast table, 2-oven Aga with companion electric hob and oven, dishwasher, microwave and large american fridge/freezer with ice and filtered water dispenser.Pantry with large gas range, additional fridge and dishwasher and sink leading to separate wc. Boot room leads to the rear entrance.

Guests should note that there is a self-contained apartment on the top floor where the housekeeper lives. There will be no intrusion on guest privacy.

The Hall sits in 85 acres of park and woodland with a network of private bridlepaths. The gardens to the side and rear of the property comprise:

  5. There is ample parking to the front of the property

 Restrictions

  1. Lets for 1 night will normally be accepted mid-week only on Tuesday or Wednesday nights. Should this be inconvenient please call to check availability for other days.
  2. The minimum let over a week-end is 3 nights. 
  3. Sorry no smoking permitted inside the property.
